1 dead, 1 in critical condition after shooting at gymnasium on north side of San Antonio, SAPD says

SAINT ANTHONY – One person has died and another is in critical condition after a shooting at a gymnasium on the north side of town, according to the San Antonio Police Department.

Officials said officers were called to the gymnasium in the 7100 block of Blanco Road around 9 p.m. on Friday.

SAPD says there was a possible altercation in the gymnasium, and when two individuals attempted to leave the facility, a gunman shot them and left the scene.

One of the victims was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other was taken to the university hospital in critical condition, officials said.

SAPD said there was no information available on the suspect.
