FOX 5’s Bob Barnard said the incident happened at the Rock Creek Woods Apartments on Twinbrook Parkway. Barnard reported that a man’s body was found in the floodwaters.

Authorities say a total of 150 residents have been moved from their homes. About 40 to 50 units lost all access to utilities.

Teams are on site looking for floodwaters – which, at their highest level, have reached several meters in height – in search of a resident who is still missing.

Elsewhere in the region, several occupants were rescued from their homes in Congress towers in Rockville as rainwater rushed into the building.
