ATLANTA – A shootout on Saturday afternoon left one dead, Atlanta police said.
Police said officers from the Altoona Place area were reported around 4:30 p.m. and said a man was shot.

Upon arrival at the scene, they found a man dead from a gunshot wound.
The identity of the victim was not disclosed.
Homicide investigators say everyone involved in the incident has been identified, but they continue to work to determine what led to the shooting.
