One person was killed and three others injured in a shootout at a Costco store in Southern California on Friday night.
Police were called to the scene shortly after 19:45, according to an online statement issued by the Corona Police Department in California. According to the authorities, one person died as a result of his injuries, while three others, including a policeman on leave, were taken to local hospitals under unknown conditions.
An unidentified man was arrested in connection with the shooting, allegedly stemming from a dispute inside the big box store, according to CNN. Lieutenant Jeff Edwards of the Corona Police said the relationship between the victims and the alleged gunman was not immediately clear, CNN reported.
Edwards said the incident was not considered a family conflict.
The ministry then tweeted that the incident had been "stabilized" and that there was no continuing threat to the community.

The gunman told the authorities that he had been injured, according to CNN. Others were also injured while they were trying to leave the store, Edwards told the point-of-sale.
Rochelle Flores, who was shopping at Costco when the gunshots rang out, said Costco's emergency doors would not open because people started fleeing the store after hearing gunshots.
