Newton County, Ind. (WNDU) – One of the people accused of animal abuse at Fair Oaks Farms is in custody and has been publicly identified.

The authorities arrested 36-year-old Edgar Gardozo-Vasquez from Brook, Indiana, and currently detained him at the Newton County Jail.

He was detained under a warrant for level 6 crime, torturing or mutilating an animal and cruelty to Class A animals. Immigration Customs Enforcement also suspended Gardozo-Vasquez.

Gardozo-Vasquez is one of three people indicted earlier this week after publicizing an undercover video showing animal abuse at Fair Oaks Farms.

Authorities say that there are still arrest warrants against the other two suspects, identified as Santiago Ruvalcaba Contreros and Miguel Angel Navarro Serrano.
