PHILADELPHIA – The Philadelphia authorities claim that one person was killed and at least seven other people were shot dead during a graduation ceremony.

KYW-TV reports that the shooting took place on Sunday shortly before 10:30 pm near South 70th Street and Reed Bird Place. According to the authorities, four teenagers aged 15 to 17 were shot in the leg. Four adults in their twenties were shot in various parts of their bodies.

Police said that one of the deaths was an adult.

The shooting is one of many killings in the middle of a series of shots fired around the city, which also injured several people over the weekend.

The authorities did not provide any reason for the shooting.

No arrests were made in the shooting.
