The newborn grandson of Snoop Dogg died at the age of 10 days.
Rope Broadus, the rapper's son, shared the tragic news on Instagram.
"Kai Love 15/09/19 – 25/09/19", he writes. "My son Kai has brought so much love and positivity to this world, his energy will live on and these 10 days of love will always be special for us, cherish all life and those we love as we are. Thank you. "
According to E!, Broadus shared a video of Kai taking a kiss from his brother to the hospital. He also shared a picture of a dry erase board on the outside of a hospital room bearing his son's name and the words "love" and "light".
According to the newspaper, Broadus wrote in his comments that Kai was unfortunately "dead in my arms". He also wrote: "Life is beautiful when you see it as it is."
Broadus had previously welcomed a son, Zion, in 2015 and a daughter, Elleven, in 2018.
