Some of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s former collaborators are said to be preparing to cooperate with Buckingham Palace in its investigation into the bullying allegations against the Duchess of Sussex.

According to The mirror, at least 10 royal assistants “line up” to participate if their identity remains confidential.

The palace announced on Wednesday that it would begin an investigation into Markle’s alleged behavior while she was still serving royal at Kensington Palace.

“We are clearly very concerned about the Times’ allegations following claims made by former staff of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex,” the statement read, as Fox News confirmed on Wednesday.

“Accordingly, our HR team will review the circumstances described in the article,” the statement continued. “Staff members involved at the time, including those who have left the home, will be invited to participate to see if any lessons can be learned.”

“The Royal Household has implemented a policy of dignity at work for several years and will not tolerate or tolerate bullying or harassment in the workplace,” the statement concluded.

The Times in the UK on Tuesday alleged that Markle faced a bullying complaint filed by one of his close advisers. However, the 39-year-old team strongly refuted the claims.

“The Duchess is saddened by this latest attack on her character, especially as someone who has been bullied herself and is deeply committed to supporting those who have suffered pain and trauma,” said a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex in a statement sent to Fox News Wednesday and again Thursday regarding the Mirror report.

According to the Times, the complaint was first filed in October 2018, by Jason Knauf, the couple’s former communications secretary. The complaint alleged that the former American actress kicked two personal assistants out of the house and undermined the trust of a third staff member.

A spokesperson for the Sussexes hit back at the allegations reported by The Times.

“Let’s just call it what it is – a calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful disinformation,” the spokesperson told the outlet.

“We are disappointed to see this slanderous portrayal of the Duchess of Sussex credited by a media,” continued the spokesperson. “It is no coincidence that distorted, years-old accusations of undermining the Duchess were being reported to the British media shortly before she and the Duke spoke openly and honestly about their experiences of these last years.”

The allegation came days before Markle’s televised encounter with Oprah Winfrey alongside her husband aired on Sunday.

Last week, CBS announced that Harry and Markle would be speaking with Winfrey. This is the couple’s first major TV interview since leaving royal duties and moving to the United States.

The session, titled “Oprah with Meghan and Harry: A CBS Primetime Special,” will air on March 7.

A representative for Buckingham Palace did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.
