LOWELL – Holiday shopping has paid dividends to a resident of Lowell at Natick Mall last weekend.

According to a press release from the Massachusetts Lottery, Neang Peov won a $ 4 million prize on a "100X" instant ticket bought for $ 10 at Happy Corner, a store located in the mall.

Peov went to the lottery headquarters with her husband Bunrith Peov to claim his prize Monday morning. She chose the option in cash and received a one-time payment of $ 2.6 million, according to the release.

She plans to use her earnings to pay off their mortgage and invest in retirement.

According to the publication, Happy Corner will receive a $ 40,000 bonus for ticket sales.

Peov is the second winner of $ 4 million in the state. Three other prizes of $ 4 million and ten prizes of $ 1 million are still available in the 100X Instant game.
