If you have ever found yourself in a situation where it would be inappropriate to check the time, but you really want to check the time, this feature is for you. Tap the screen of your Apple Watch once to wake it up, then tap and hold the screen with two fingers. Your watch will then indicate the time by haptic; by default, you will get a long press every 10 hours, with a short press for each following hour. Then you will get a long press every ten minutes and a short press for every next minute.

You can also choose to use this feature with Morse code, or “Terse”, the latter giving you a long press every five hours, short presses for the remaining hours, then long presses for every quarter of an hour. It may seem confusing to read, so give it a try; it makes a lot more sense when you experience it.

I without knowing it “used”This feature for years before I found out about it. I would accidentally touch the screen without realizing it and my watch would vibrate out of nowhere. I assumed this was some kind of notification, only to check and see no new alerts. If you’ve been through something similar, now you know why!
