The deadline for trading in the NHL is within a week, here is the list of the 15 best players available from USA TODAY Sports, with the possible destinations:

1. Matt Duchene, Senators of Ottawa: En route to his second season of 30 goals, Duchene could be a major help for one of the main contenders. He can play at the center or at the wing. Predators and Jets are interested.

2. Artemi Panarin, Columbus Blue Jackets: We wonder about the fact that the Bruins fit well, because they have offensive assets to give back to the Blue Jackets. But let's not forget that they rented Rick Nash last season and it did not work. Do not exclude islanders. If the Blue Jackets negotiate Panarin, they must acquire a player who can help now because they are still in the race for the playoffs.

3. Mark Stone, Ottawa Senators: The Golden Knights, who wish to improve the depth of their scores, are probably interested, as are the Flames, Bruins and Jets. Stone is an excellent bidirectional winger.

4. Kevin Hayes, New York Rangers: The Jets are looking for a scoring center like Hayes. He could slip perfectly into the second line of the team.

5. Wayne Simmonds, Philadelphia Flyers: Besides that Philadelphia has played recently, it is still unlikely that the Flyers will qualify for the playoffs. They will get a good return for tough Simmonds, even if his offensive output has weakened. Lightning, mists, predators and sharks are among the interested teams.

6. Mats Zuccarello, New York Rangers: With 37 points in 44 games, Zuccarello had a season of quality. He has scored seven points in his last four games, so he has continued to improve his commercial value. The Flames, Golden Knights, Stars, Blue Jackets and Islanders are interested.

7. Ryan Dzingel, Ottawa Senators: Of the three unrestricted free agents on this list, he is the one with the best chance to sign again. If he does not, all candidates will be interested.

8. Eric Staal, Minnesota Wild: He would rank higher if he had no 10-team no-trade clause and reluctance to be moved. It would be good for the Jets.

9. Gustav Nyqvist, Detroit Red Wings: The Red Wings want to sign Nyqvist who played well this season with 48 points. If that does not happen, he will be one of the most wanted second-rate attackers. Stars general manager Jim Nill, who has served as assistant general manager of the Red Wings, knows him well. Sharks, hurricanes, capitals and islanders may also be interested.

10. Charlie Coyle, Minnesota Wild: Coyle is perfect for a playoff team looking to strengthen their third row because of their scoring ability and size. He still has a season on his contract. Canadians are interested.

11.Sergei Bobrovsky, Columbus Blue Jackets: We know that Bobrovsky's career in Columbus is over after this season. The Blue Jackets want to move it now, but the goalie market has not developed. He can stay in Columbus.

12. Jimmy Howard, Detroit Red Wings: The veteran goalie would prefer to reconnect with the Red Wings. They want him to come back. But if the price is right, the Red Wings will deal with Howard and try to sign it again this summer. If Bobrovsky is moved, the Blue Jackets will turn to Howard.

13. Marcus Johansson, New Jersey Devils: With 10 points in his last 12 games, Johansson could be the solution for a team that wants to improve the depth without giving up too much. Could Washington be interested in reacquiring it?

14. Jakob Silfverberg, Anaheim Ducks: It may be a cheaper option for a team looking for depth of notation and not wishing to pay Stone's price. This sounds like a gesture that hurricanes might consider.

15. Micheal Ferland, Carolina Hurricanes: The Canes see Ferland as a rental player they have acquired. They fight for a place in series and if they move it, they will have to replace it. Carolina is a point outside the playoffs.
