2 deaths and 18 hospitalized due to an outbreak in the Fairfax County pensioner community – History

– Two people have died and 18 have been hospitalized due to a respiratory virus outbreak in a retiree community in Fairfax County, officials said.

According to the Fairfax County Health Department, 54 people in total were exposed to the outbreak – all in the life support and skilled nursing sections of the Greenspring Retirement Community in Springfield.

The health department said that the facility had quarantined the affected sections and that there had been no new cases of patients requiring hospitalization within two days.
