AUBURN, Alabama – It’s game day at Jordan-Hare Stadium. Auburn plays the official foe of FCS Alabama State at 11 a.m. at Jordan = Hare Stadium.

Will freshman quarterback Dematrius Davis, described as electrifying during preseason, play today’s game against Alabama State? There are reasons he could play and reasons he couldn’t.

How much of a lag is expected when Auburn plays against Alabama State today? Auburn is a favorite with 49 points. In Auburn’s only previous game against Alabama State, they won 63-9 in 2018.

FORMER AUBURN STAR SAID PLAYERS WILL BE PAID

Former All-SEC nose guard Auburn Tommy Jackson, now a professor at the University of West Georgia, believes college football programs will ultimately have no choice but to pay players beyond what is now legal.

Former Heisman Trophy winner Cam Newton, who led Auburn to the 2010 national championship, admitted he was surprised when he was cut off by the New England Patriots. But he swore that his career was not over.
