After three straight weeks at home, Ohio State not only returns to the Big Ten on Saturday afternoon facing Rutgers, but is back on the road for the second time this season. The 11th-ranked Buckeyes will travel to SHI Stadium, looking to move up to 4-1 that year.
Considering this is only the second game on the road – following the win over Minnesota in Week 1 – there remains an intrigue as to which players travel for the game. After announcing the status report of unavailable players three hours before the game, Ohio State also released its travel list for the game against the Scarlet Knights.

There are 19 real freshmen who made the trip to Piscataway, New Jersey for this Big Ten Saturday meetup. This listing includes quarterbacks Quinn Ewers and Kyle mccord, wide receivers Jayden ballard, Emeka Egbouka and Marvin Harrison Jr., the ball carriers Evan pryor and TreVeyon Henderson, security Jantzen dunn and André Turrentine, corner half Denzel burke and Jordan hancock, punter Jesse Mirco, defensive ends Jack sawyer and JT Tuimoloau, offensive linemen Donovan jackson and Toby Wilson, defensive tackles Mike Hall and Tyleik williamskicker Noah Rugge and the long snapper Mason Arnold.
Of that group, Ewers, Pryor, Dunn, Turrentine, Wilson and Arnold did not make the trip to Minneapolis for the opener against the Gophers but arrived in New Jersey. Senior Linebacker Palaie Gaoteote, who was not eligible for week 1 after transferring from USC, fourth year junior Cameron Brown, junior center Harry miller and defensive lineman Cormontae Hamilton, who were injured for the first game, are also doing their first road trip of the year.
Miller, who was supposed to be the team’s starting center at the start of the season, has missed every game so far this season for some unspecified reason. The Head Coach Ryan day said this week that Miller resumed training with the team this week. Considering the rookie redshirt game Luke Wypler, who makes a homecoming against Rutgers, center in the first four games, it will be interesting to see Miller’s role for the Buckeyes.

Hall and fourth year junior Kamryn babb made the trip to Rutgers but won’t play. Babb suffered a knee injury in the spring that prevents him from entering the pitch and Hall was listed in the Scarlet and Gray situation report as unavailable on Saturday.
Ohio State and Rutgers are scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. ET with the game showing on the Big Ten Network.
