The new NBA rewards show means we will not know the top honors winners such as MVP and the Rookie of the Year before the NBA Finals finish. Other end-of-year honors, such as the all-rookie team and the defensive team, are not part of this program, however, and are still announced during the playoffs .

Tuesday, the league announced the All-Rookie teams, which, unsurprisingly, were led by Luka Doncic and Trae Young. We now know the 10 players selected for this season's all-defense defense team.

2018-19 NBA teams fully defensive

Giannis Antetokounmpo, Paul George and Rudy Gobert, all three finalists of the defensive player of the year award that will be awarded next month, will head the first team in the NBA, fully defensive. Marcus Smart and Eric Bledsoe, two fierce defenders of the backyard, complete the first team.

Antetokounmpo and George are also MVP finalists. This is the third consecutive season that Gobert has been named in the first team, while George makes his second appearance in the first team. This is the first honorary award for Antetokounmpo, Bledsoe and Smart.

It's little surprise to see two members of the Bucks, the best defense of the NBA this season, in the first team. This is the first time the Bucks have named two players in the first team since 1986, when Paul Pressey and Sidney Moncrief formed the first team for the second season in a row.

The second All-Defensive 2018-19 NBA team includes Jrue Holiday and Klay Thompson in the backcourt, while Kawhi Leonard, Draymond Green and Joel Embiid take the honors for the front zone.

As is always the case with these types of rewards, there were also a number of humorous votes. James Harden and Kyrie Irving each received votes at the guard position, while Jordan Bell received a vote in advance although he played 11 minutes per game.
