2019 colors for the iPhone XR: two new novelties

Earlier in the day, a report said that the new Apple A13 processor had gone into production and was destined for the new iPhone 11 and iPhone XR. Now, supply chain blog Macotakara reports that the new iPhone XR will be in a pair of new colors.

According to the report, the new iPhone XR will be available in a total of six colors, including existing white, black, yellow and red (PRODUCT). This year, however, the iPhone XR will also add new colors green and lavender. These color options will replace the current coral and blue options.

Macotakara explains (by translation):

According to reliable sources of information, the model of iPhone 6.1 LCD 2019 will feature 6 colors, namely the colors green and lavender instead of coral and blue, in addition to the current 4 colors, white, black, yellow and red (PRODUCT).

The iPhone XR is the first iPhone since the iPhone 5C to be available in a range of colors other than black, white and gold. Apple has consistently used the variety of colors of the iPhone XR as a marketing tool for the device, as in its advertising 'Color Flood' last year.

The new iPhone XR this year should feature the new Apple A13 processor, as well as a dual camera configuration at the back. The iPhone 11 would feature a triple rear camera. Other supposed features include two-way wireless charging, a redesigned antenna configuration, and a larger battery.

What do you think of the decision that Apple would have abandoned coral and blue with the successor of this year's iPhone XR? Let us know in the comments!
