For the 119th time, the US Open is played with the national championship which is awarded to the winner of a large number of professionals (for the most part) with some of the best and qualified amateurs of the country. And for the first time, this is the third major of the season now that the PGA Championship has taken place between him and the Masters. There is a packed field playing on Pebble Beach, and yes, all your favorites (including Tiger Woods and defending champion Brooks Koepka) are competing.

While Woods looks to win his second major this season after a shocking victory at the 2019 Masters, Koepka is trying to win both major tournaments and his third consecutive crown in the US Open. Despite their stories, Gary Woodland tries to break ground. Woodland recorded a record 36 holes for an American Open played at Pebble Beach with a score of 133 at the end of his second round (which broke the Woods record set in 134 by 2000). Justin Rose sits two places behind Woodland, while Koepka and McIlroy are among a handful of stars in the running.
