2021 Ford Bronco Delayed Due to Coronavirus Supplier Issues

the Ford Bronco 2021 will not be in the hands of enthusiastic owners in the spring of 2021. On Friday, a Ford spokesperson told Roadshow that the automaker will now delay four- and two-door models in the summer as the Coronavirus pandemic continues to create supplier problems for the off-road SUV.

“We are committed to building Broncos with the quality that customers deserve,” the spokesperson told Roadshow. We never received a solid launch date for the highly anticipated SUV, but Ford has stuck to its spring 2021 calendar for months, even in the midst of the pandemic. Now the window is moving back a season. Summer officially begins on June 20 next year and ends on September 22, so in a worst-case scenario, we’re looking at around six months behind schedule.

If you plan to park a Bronco equipped with a manual transmission and Sasquatch package in the garage you wait even longer. The Ford spokesperson told Roadshow that the same supplier constraints would now make all Broncos equipped with the Sasquatch gear and three pedals a 2022 model. Previously, Ford had announced that the suit would launch in late 2021.

Meanwhile, Ford plans to open order books for the Bronco next month. This is when reservation holders will actually be able to convert their reservations into appropriate vehicle orders. Ford will give these people until March 2021 to finalize their order and dealer selection.

But hey, at least we know we still have something good to look forward to in 2021.
