2021 NCAA tournament live updates: Sweet 16 scores, support, college basketball games on Sunday

In Sweet 16’s Matchday 2 opener on Sunday, the overall No.1 seed Gonzaga did what Gonzaga has been doing all season. The undefeated Zags outscored No.5 seed Creighton 83-65 with a end-to-end victory to advance to the Elite Eight. This is the 28th double-digit victory for the historically tall Bulldogs, who with the win improve to 29-0 and bask in the Elite Eight category for the fifth time in program history.

Gonzaga becomes the second No.1 seed on a ticket to the Elite Eight joining Baylor, who did so on Saturday with their own double-digit victory. No.1 seed Michigan can join the duo on Sunday night as they take on the No.4 seed Florida State on CBS in the second four-headed action of Sunday’s NCAA tournament.

To top off Sunday’s slate, the night features a double TBS title starting with Alabama-UCLA and culminating with USC-Oregon. The Pac-12 final marks the very first time ever — never! – that the Pac-12 teams will meet in the Big Dance, including the Pac-8 and the Pac-10. For Alabama and for USC, a victory would mean Elite Eight status for the first time since the early 2000s.
