2021 SEC football schedule by team and date

[ad_1]

The SEC announced the 2021 football schedules for the 14 SEC schools on Wednesday.

The 2021 calendar includes an open date for each team and conference competitions scheduled weekly starting from week two over a period of 13 weekends.

Each SEC team will play eight conference football games, including six against division opponents and two games against non-division opponents. One of the divisionless opponents will be a permanent annual opponent and the other divisionless opponent will rotate each year.

The season kicks off the weekend of September 4 with 14 games, including two neutral venue games on the opening weekend.

“We are proud to have ended the 2020 football season under unique circumstances and will now focus on playing the 2021 football season as planned,” SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey said in a statement. “The circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 virus will continue to guide our decision making if any adjustments need to be made.”

The 2021 season will conclude with the SEC Championship game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta on Saturday, December 4. This will be the 30th edition of the game and the 28th in the city of Atlanta.
