DETROIT – About 20,000 customers of DTE Energy are without electricity, according to the company.

Power outages are the result of Sunday's windstorm. DTE Energy expects an increase in the number of power outages in southeastern Michigan and plans to release updated information in the near future.

DTE Energy initially reported that 28,000 customers were without electricity. The company was able to restore power to 8,000 customers.
