MANSFIELD, Ohio (AP) – Some members of the cast of "The Shawshank Redemption" are in Mansfield for the movie's 25th anniversary celebration.

The celebration of the film, filmed almost entirely in and around the city, which runs from August 16 to 18, will feature a variety of events, including panel discussions with the team and members of the cast.

Turner Classic Movies host Ben Mankiewicz will lead a discussion on Saturday at the Ohio State Reformatory, which served as a prison for the Shawshank State Prison in the film.

On Sunday, the film's main actors will gather for another round table from noon to 1 pm. at the Ohio State Reformatory.

Released in 1994, much of the film's scenes were shot in Ohio. The Shawshank Trail is where fans can see scene sites such as the Shawshank State Prison, which is actually the Ohio State Reformatory, located in Mansfield.

Other Ohio stops on the trail include the Bissman Block, Wyandot County Courthouse and Malabar Farms. In fact, the only stop that is not in Ohio is in the US Virgin Islands, where the end of the film was shot.

Some members of the cast of the film also had to attend the celebration. These members include Bob Gunton (President Norton), Mark Rolston (Bogs), Gil Bellows (Tommy), Frank Medrano (Big Ass), Alfonso Freeman (The Red Mugshot and Fresh Fish Guy), Scott Mann (Glenn Quentin) , Renee Blaine (Linda Dufresne), Claire Slemmer (cashier) and Neil Giuntoli (Jigger).
