2K Games Releases Gameplay Trailers For Marvel’s Midnight Suns
Last month 2K Games announced that XCOM developer Firaxis Games is working on a tactical Marvel RPG called Marvel’s Midnight Suns. However, few details on gameplay were available at the time. Now IGN has released two new trailers that shine a light on what gamers can expect.
Among today’s reveals, players will take on the role of The Hunter, a hero created for the game. Regardless of the female Hunter in the trailers, there is an option to make the character male. She is a customizable character who has a story with Lilith, the mother of all monsters.
The hunter will be joined in the quest to defeat Lilith by a team of Marvel heroes including Wolverine, Captain America, Iron Man, Captain Marvel, Blade, Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider, and more.
In the second video, one of the developers explains the card system behind the action. Before each fight, players are given a random set of cards with special abilities. Players can also upgrade their abilities while staying at the Abby. This is where the Midnight Suns live and hang around between missions, and this is where the Hunter can cultivate the friendships and connections that strengthen them.
2K Games will be released Marvel’s Midnight Suns on consoles in March 2022.
