As we first reported in June, Google is working on a 2nd gen Pixel mount for the Pixel 6. The proprietary wireless charging stand has now leaked, along with a new case and charger for the next one. flagship product.
Compared to the original introduced with the Pixel 3 in 2018, the new Pixel Stand (leaked by Evan Blass on Twitter tonight) is much larger with a curved, non-circular chainstay. This design makes it possible to accommodate a ventilation system for a more powerful load, previously announced at 23 W.
Meanwhile, Pixel Stand’s new user interface begins with showing the day and date in the top left corner. Media controls then appear, followed by your smart home device control grid. At the very bottom are two shortcuts for “Performance mode” and “Quiet mode”.
Google also seems to be working on a new brick of work. Although it looks the same, it has an engraved Google logo on it. The company announced in August that a charger would not be included with the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, following in the footsteps of other flagships. In theory, it could be included with the Pixel Stand.
Meanwhile, we get a first look at Google’s first-party case for the Pixel 6. It looks exactly like the one introduced for the Pixel 5a which boasts a durable dual-layer design. There is a shock absorbing sponge exterior that is translucent and a hard plastic interior.
