WWE has already had a large number of talent departures this year, with either multiple rounds of talent exits or a handful of wrestlers allowing their contracts to expire.
We’ve seen major stars of Vince McMahon’s company like Braun Strowman, Bray Wyatt, Aleister Black, and Ruby Riott leave over the past few months, which has left the star power lists a bit low.
But there could very well be more departures from the company to come as there are a few WWE stars who are coming to the end of their contracts or, drastically enough, have already done so.
Let’s take a look at three WWE Superstars who may be leaving the company soon.
# 3. Sami Zayn’s WWE contract up in a few months
Sami Zayn signed a three-year contract before June 2018, which on the surface would mean his contract with WWE is already in place. However, his contract was extended due to an injury, as the company is used to doing.
This means that Zayn’s deal with WWE will most likely expire in the next few months and while he seems to have a decent spot on TV right now with his “conspiracy theory” gadget, there is a chance that ‘he joins previous WWE Superstars. who voluntarily walked through the door.
# 2. Pete Dunne could be close to leaving WWE
Pete Dunne has been one of WWE’s most promising prospects for a number of years and has recently put a lot of emphasis on the black and gold brand after moving from NXT UK.
However, a new report from Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful has suggested the Bruiserweight could very well be wasting his final weeks with WWE as a source told them his deal could be done as early as SummerSlam weekend.
# 1. Adam Cole could have already left WWE but agreed to extend his contract
Adam Cole is one of WWE’s biggest stars and is absolutely vital to WWE NXT, which is why it’s amazing that the company was able to let his contract expire without negotiating a new deal with him.
Cole’s contract expired after the Great American Bash, but the former NXT Champion agreed to an extension that will keep him with the company until the SummerSlam weekend at a minimum. It’s unclear if he’ll be looking to sign a new deal with WWE, or if he leaves then, but understandably people are already thinking about him going to AEW.
