The shooting erupted during a scuffle between two groups, police said.

A shooting erupted Saturday night at the Circus Circus Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, leaving three injured, one person of interest in custody and numerous witnesses hiding for safety, according to police.

Gunshots erupted inside the hotel’s closed Adventuredome theme park during a brawl involving several people, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

Police responded to the hotel around 7:30 p.m. local time after 911 dispatchers received a call for shots inside the Las Vegas Strip monument, police said.

Officers found three people with gunshot wounds and started a search for the shooter, officials said. Police officials later said a person of interest was in custody and questioned.

The three people injured in the episode were taken to the university medical center with non-fatal injuries and were listed in stable condition, police said.

A reason for the shooting is under investigation.

Videos posted online showed several people, including men and women, fighting inside the crowded Adventuredome as three shots rang out and witnesses rushed to take cover.

“We believe this is an isolated incident involving a fight between two different groups of individuals inside the Aventuredome,” Dori Koren, commander of the LVMPD office, told reporters. “This is not an active shooter, and we believe there are no other threats to anyone in the audience at this time.”
