Believe me, you need an ultra-wide. This gives you a lot more room for multitasking. I can have a spreadsheet on one side of the screen and a Chrome tab on the right to refer to something else. Or two Chrome tabs side by side. This one from LG has a resolution of 2560 x 1080 pixels, is VESA mountable if you want to place it on a monitor stand, and uses an IPS panel for beautiful colors and good viewing angles.

This Dell isn’t as big as the ultra-wide, but the 27-inch screen is still big compared to most traditional monitors. You get a slim profile, sharper 1440-pixel resolution, and VESA mount bracket.
