The first World of Warcraft Classic player has reached the current maximum level of the 60 game, triggering a celebration for ages in the world of MMOs.
According to Eurogamer, a World of Warcraft Classic player named Jokerd, a 22-year-old Maltese native of Malta, created a gnome mage character and was the first in the game to reach level 60. Best of all on Twitch, performing the feat in just over three days.
Even better than that, Jokerd, a relatively unknown player today, has managed to defeat the World of Warcraft's major guild method. Method was playing from a studio in Los Angeles last week and sending press releases to publicize his attempts to reach the maximum level.
In the Twitch clip, you can see how Jokerd managed to beat the popular guild. Jokerd aired his attempt, supplemented by random song choices, and used an interesting tactic to reach level 60. At the very beginning of the clip, viewers can see him kite groups of burned zombie monsters, freeze them, and then use perform attacks to destroy them quickly. Jokerd also used a technique called "layering", which requires that a player join and then leave a group, allowing enemy groups to reappear in an area without waiting. It's actually a vestige of more modern World of Warcraft incarnations, which is scorned in some circles, but that did not bother Jokerd.
At its peak, Jokerd had 350,000 viewers watching his stream as he reached the maximum level.
After reaching level 60, Jokerd is teleported to Stormwind City, where he was even more celebrated, surrounded by dozens, if not hundreds, of other players. A large group of players even lined up on either side of a road to allow Jokerd to walk to the center, parade style. Much of everything is set for the "celebration" of Kool & the Gang.
Jokerd spoke to other players who disagreed about his arrival there, saying that at that time, he had "in the bag." He also stated that he did not share his account with others and that he slept six to eight hours day.
About the sexual abuse charges: I started using the overlay to get a level advantage at level 58. It's at that point that I had to be 60 years old and that I wanted to win 1-1.5 hours. Do not hesitate to check my vods, I listened to everything, and I did not have mafia taggers.

Jokerd ended his feed by hosting Method's own feed. Before that, however, he had jokingly attempted to suppress his gnome mage character after the celebration. Other players have managed to stop this by continuously sending Jokerd mail, which prevents players from permanently deleting a character.
