Denise Nickerson, who played the role of Violet Beauregarde in the movie "Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory" in 1971, died at age 62 after being removed from her survival system on Tuesday, her family said.
"She's gone," his son Josh and his wife, Jasmine, said Thursday in a Facebook post early Thursday.
Nickerson was the victim of a "major medical emergency" at her home Monday, which forced her to be admitted to the intensive care unit of a Colorado hospital. Nickerson had a severe stroke in June 2018.

According to the GoFundMe family's page, Nickerson, "took her medication and took everything she could" while Josh and Jasmine were away at a doctor's appointment. Josh reportedly arrested his mother and took her to an emergency room where her condition had worsened.

"She had seizures this morning and is suffering from respiratory and respiratory distress.The doctors discovered that she was inhaling and developing pneumonia," Jasmine said on Facebook. In the adaptation of "Willy Wonka" of 1971 with Gene Wilder, Nickerson interprets one of the spoiled children who wins a chocolate tour. Passionate about chewing gum, she steals an experimental piece from the Wonka factory that makes her explode like a giant blueberry.
His career also included roles in "The Brady Bunch", "Dark Shadows" and "The Electric Company". She left the industry in 1978 to pursue nursing studies, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
The family uses their Go Fund Me page to fulfill Nickerson's last wish to be cremated and turn his ashes into a glass work of art.
