How safe are foods in your kitchen? The environmental working group has published its annual list of "fruits and vegetables", entitled "Dirty Dozen".
The list includes the top 12 vegetables and fruits containing the most pesticide residues.
The first three items on the list include strawberries, spinach and kale. Other "dirty" foods include cherries and nectarines.
Some of the most "clean" are avocados, sweet corn and pineapples.
The researchers warned that pesticide use is linked to health problems related to cancer and fertility.
