Monte, a two-year-old burrow group, will play Tramp in the film, which premieres on the Disney + streaming service when it launches in the US on Nov. 12, said CNN affiliate KTVK.
The puppy was sent from a New Mexico municipal shelter to HALO Animal Rescue, in Phoenix, in April 2018. Monte was darling of employees for his good behavior and his wet kisses, told KTVK, Heather Allen , CEO of the shelter.
Monte was spotted by a group of Hollywood coaches, she said, one of whom adopted the affable canine.
According to Allen, despite his recent incursion into the cinema, Monte still leads a happy and normal life.
His "tramp" is expressed by the famous dog lover Justin Theroux. A cocker named Rose will play the role of Lady, the love interest sharing spaghetti, with voiceover of Tessa Thompson, according to Disney.
D23, Disney's official fan club, said all members of the rescue dog group had been found "in eternal homes" after the shooting was over.
