The NBC variety show opened the Saturday night episode with a sketched version of "Meet the Press" featuring host Chuck Todd (Kyle Mooney) interviewing Senator Susan Collins (Cecily Strong), Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (Beck Bennett) and Senator Lindsey Graham (Kate McKinnon) about Trump.
Todd de Mooney went through hypothetical scenarios to test the loyalty of senators to the president.
The first hypothesis: Robert Mueller testifies in front of the Congress and declares to believe that Trump has committed an obstacle to the justice.
"The best way to enforce the law is to stay on top, Chuck," said Graham of McKinnon.
The next hypothesis: What if Mueller said that Trump had collaborated with the Russians?
"Well, I should write a strong email and send it directly into my draft record," Strong said Collins.
Hypothetics became more and more insane. A crazy hypothetical case by Todd of Mooney was what would happen if he divorced first lady Melania Trump and left her to Stormy Daniels or even Kathy Griffin?
"A clumsy redhead?" Bennett's McConnell said. "I understood."
Finally, Todd de Mooney simply asked what was going on if Trump "slaps you in the face, what would you say then?"
"Stronger, dad," said Graham of McKinnon.
All panel members then agreed and agreed on one thing: say the slogan: "Live from New York … it's Saturday night!"
