It's no secret that Disney was very interested in buying Twitter in 2016, but the House of the Mouse never concluded the deal. Disney CEO Bob Iger explained the company's thinking about Twitter in his new book, The turn of a lifetime, and he really speaks for all his usual users.
Why did not Disney choose Twitter? The platform is a cesspool of anger that helps make the world a worse place to live with its "wickedness".

"The problems were more serious than I wanted, even more than I thought responsible on our part," he says. "There were Disney brand issues, all the impact of technology on society. The wickedness is extraordinary. I like to watch my news feed Twitter because I want to follow 15, 20 different topics. Then you look at your notifications and you immediately say why I'm doing this. Why do I support this pain? Like many of these platforms, they have the ability to do a lot of good in our world. They also have the ability to do a lot of harm. I did not want to take that. "
Honestly, I can not think of a better slogan for Twitter than "why am I doing this? Why do I endure this pain? Any regular user can understand the question. It's the same as eating a particularly greasy pizza or something. We tell ourselves that it's going to be so good and that we feel like shit.
Why do we do that? Why do we support this pain? Because we are hooked. And we can not do anything about it. The Disney people were smart enough to avoid wading in these Nazi infested waters.
