4 big concerns for this week’s game

It’s like we’ve been waiting forever to finally get to this game. The Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens were supposed to face each other on Thursday, but the NFL continues to kick the game out due to COVID-19 protocols and positive tests in Baltimore.

Here’s what worries us this week.

The game still might not happen

No one should assume the game is really on Tuesday. If more positive tests come out and more players are placed on the Reserve / COVID-19 roster, this game could be pushed into the Week 18 scenario which would completely change the structure of the playoffs.

Underestimate Robert Griffin III

There is no doubt that there is a drop between Lamar Jackson and RGIII. But the concepts the Ravens use won’t change, and Baltimore’s ability to move the ball to the ground shouldn’t really take a hit.

This week has been brutal for the Steelers. Constantly changing schedules, receiving blows based on the irresponsibility of another team has impacted the state of mind of this team. The team are back in training on Saturday, but it will be a great test for head coach Mike Tomlin to keep this team focused on the task at hand.

More COVID-19 issues

Pittsburgh added three players to the Reserve / COVID-19 roster this week for a total of four. The Ravens steal all the headlines with the positive tests, but things are far from ideal for the Steelers. The depth on the offensive and defensive line has taken a huge hit and will push the Pittsburgh roster to the limit.
