The Pittsburgh Steelers kicked off their 2021 season on Thursday night with a 16-3 win over the Dallas Cowboys in the Hall of Fame game. Pittsburgh let most of its starters rest, but the Game Boys played.

Joshua Dobbs was the Steelers’ best quarterback of the game on Thursday night and no one should be surprised. While everyone wants to brag about the battle between Mason Rudolph and Dwayne Haskins, Dobbs could quietly beat the two with performances like tonight.

Pittsburgh didn’t play any starting offensive linemen and the guys on the pitch were largely strangers. But despite only a few weeks of work, this squad performed quite well and that is to the credit of new offensive line coach Adrian Klemm.

With all due respect to veteran Jordan Berry, his time with the Steelers may be coming to an end. Rookie Pressley Harvin III was impeccable in his debut and showcased all the skills that justified the Steelers using a draft pick on him.

Make no mistake, the Steelers have a talented group of wide receivers, but none of them have the Chase Claypool cap. In just three series, Claypool had three catches for 62 yards, including a magnificent 45-yard catch on a tee course.
