TOWNSHIP OF SOLON, Mich. – According to authorities, four people, including children, were shot dead in a property in western Michigan.
Kent County Sheriff Michelle LaJoye-Young said the authorities reacted on Monday at a property near Cedar Springs, a community about 48 km north of Grand Rapids. She says someone discovered the bodies and called 911.
LaJoye-Young did not specify how many victims are children. She called the scene "a horrible thing to be called to" and said "my heart goes to the families concerned here and to the community".
LaJoye-Young said the authorities did not think that there was a fleeing gunman.
