A San Antonio boy who turns 5 this month has been orphaned after coronavirus claimed both parents within 100 days of each other, according to a report.
“He’s been missing his mother ever since he was mom’s boy,” his grandmother, Rozie Salinas, told NBC News of Raiden Gonzalez on Saturday. “This morning again, he told me he wanted to find his mother and that he just wanted her to come back.

“We have several truck clubs, bikers, Mustang clubs, classic cars, Jeep clubs, as well as the fire department. It’s going to be a huge turnout, ”she told the network.
The family’s ordeal began when a colleague of the boy’s father tested positive for the disease – and then the father also shot him down, becoming “one of the two sickest in the hospital,” Salinas said .
Adan died on June 26, then Mariah died on October 5 – just hours after she started to feel sick.
“Mariah wanted to make a memorial for Adan, but she never made it,” Salinas told NBC News, adding that she was planning a memorial for her daughter, who was a teacher, and her son-in-law after the holidays.
“I kept it in that same kindergarten,” she says. “They take really good care of him. They know what his situation is.
Raiden was cheered on Saturday when a surprise package containing a small dinosaur toy arrived.
“He loves dinosaurs, he loves monster trucks, he loves Hot Wheels,” Salinas said. “But considering he chose the dinosaur theme for his birthday, he really liked it.”
Amid the angst, Salinas said Raiden was pushing her forward.
“Just with his friendly, constant reminders telling me how much he loves me. He always thanks me for taking care of him, but I just have to think about him, ”she told the outlet. “It’s a difficult situation to manage.”
