Forty House Republicans voted against Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s latest adjournment motion on Wednesday, another sign her party is growing frustrated with the Georgia Republican’s procedural delay tactics.
That figure was more than double the 18 Republicans who voted against his motion last week to end House business for the day.
Some of those Republicans who have stood up to Greene and GOP leaders correctly predicted that the number of “no” votes will only increase as Greene continues to force more of those votes.
They have complained that these unexpected votes, which do not appear on the House’s schedule, have disrupted constituent meetings and congressional hearings, and are intended only to eat away at the floor.

Like Greene’s other frivolous votes, Wednesday’s adjournment motion failed, by a roll call of 149-235.
But most Republicans – nearly 150 of that vote – still stand with Greene, who began deploying such procedural tactics after Democrats voted last month to strip her of both of her committee assignments for offensive posts. on social networks.
