49ers Final Injury Report: George Kittle Says, “If the body says I can go, I’ll be there. “

49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan spoke to the media on Friday after practice to provide some injury updates. Here is the final injury report for Sunday’s game:

Absent: CB K’Waun Williams (calf)

Doubtful: CB Josh Norman (chest)

Questionable: TE George Kittle (calf)

DT Javon Kinlaw (knee)

RB Elijah Mitchell (shoulder)

Shanahan on Kittle: “I think we’ll have a pretty good idea tomorrow. I think I said earlier in the week that he would be fine. The fact that he couldn’t go there on Thursday worried us a bit. The fact that he could do a little today was much more encouraging than yesterday. Hopefully we have the same result tomorrow.

Kittle said, “Manage the swelling, little pain and do what we can to make sure I’m available on Sunday. I will do everything to be on the field on Sunday. If my body says I can go, I’ll be there.

Shanahan said Kittle was beefed up in the Detroit or Philly game, and that bothered Kittle enough: the fact that it bothered him more this week worried us a bit more.

Josh Norman will undergo further testing on Saturday to determine if he will play on Sunday. We watch Dr. Kirkpatrick and Emmanuel Moseley outside with Deommodore Lenoir in the slot. As for Ambry

Shanahan said we could see Trenton Cannon receive a few touches: “We have no problem placing him as a running back. He has playmaking abilities that he’s demonstrated as a returner, and there’s no reason we shouldn’t use him.

On the loss of Raheem Mostert: “When you lose your number 1, it’s huge. The hardest thing about losing Raheem too was the way we lost Jeff Wilson in training camp.

Shanahan said Elijah Mitchell did a “hell of a job” replacing and Trey Sermon had a better week this week than last week and was “excited to see what he can do with his opportunities” this week. Shanahan said Sermon behaved well during training working on whatever they had been trying to get him to improve week after week.

Shanahan said Mitchell has done a little more in practice this week than last week, and that continues to be a pain tolerance issue with the rookie running back. The 49ers will therefore give Mitchell “as long as he can” to prepare for Sunday.

Shanahan said Aaron Banks should train a lot and miss all the time he wasted. Banks has spent the last four weeks on the Boy Scout team getting in shape. Shanahan said Laken Tomlinson went through a similar process when he first arrived in San Francisco. However, it didn’t look like Banks would be playing anytime soon.

Here’s a look at the Seahawks injury report:

Absent: RB Rashaad Penny (calf), T Brandon Shell (ankle)

Doubtful: WR D’Wayne Eskridge (concussion)

Questionable: WR Tyler Lockett (hip), LB Benson Mayowa (neck), DE Alton Robinson (knee)
