Everyone has an opinion on what quarterback Deshaun Watson should do. He doesn’t seem to want to be with the Houston Texans after feeling disrespected by the brass on the team and disagreeing on several organizational decisions.

It was a recipe for a compelling off-season discussion, with fans across the league wondering what their team’s attack might look like with Watson at the helm.

during Cris Collinsworth’s podcast, cornerback Richard Sherman, who co-hosts the show, has shared his thoughts on what Watson should do, and he won’t be joining the San Francisco 49ers.

“If I were Deshaun, I would get out of there as fast as I could. I would be heading to New York, ”Sherman told Collinsworth and George Chahrouri. “… The Jets. That would be the nicest (situation). A decent offensive line. They should find threats. They should find offensive weapons. But I think there would be a lot more people. Looking forward to it.” be there.

“I think the free agency market this year will be oversaturated with the salary cap, but that’s what I would do.”

The suggestion is interesting, given that Sherman is expected to become a free agent himself and has made it clear that he doesn’t expect to return to San Francisco due to the team’s salary cap situation.

Sherman’s former defensive coordinator with the 49ers, Robert Saleh, is now the head coach of the Jets, which has naturally led to speculation that the All-Pro cornerback may be in New York. He might not be the only impending 49ers free agent watching the Jets.

“They will be able to form a team, and if [Watson is] at the helm, they immediately become a candidate not only in this division but in the AFC in general, ”added Sherman.
