While Jimmy Garoppolo remains slated to be the Week 1 starter, Lance argues that he could be ahead of his development. This brings us to Lance. Barrows uses another example from training camp to properly explain the difference between Garoppolo and his eventual successor, and what that might mean for Shanahan’s ever-evolving offense.
“Lance does almost the same on a pitch to Deebo Samuel, but he’s had enough of [an arm] to get it all the way to the back of the field, ”Barrows shared. “It wasn’t a good ball, the one I’m thinking of.
