Welcome to the 289th edition of Android Apps Weekly! Here are the headlines of last week:

  • Microsoft will offer a Forza game on mobile later in 2019. The game was announced earlier this week. The game, Forza Street, should be pretty standard for a mobile runner. There is a single player mode with a story as well as an online multiplayer mode. It is mainly aimed at casual players. Click on the link to find out more!
  • The Google Play Store has published some big articles this week. The first is the simultaneous download of applications. It was a feature of the early days of Android, it looks like it comes back. With the faster data speeds of 2019, updates should be much faster. The second news is a promise from Google. They want to make faster and more detailed decisions on the Play Store for developers. It's a good choice for developers.
  • Two applications have been banned this week in various countries. India has banned TikTok, while Nepal has banned PUBG Mobile. Indian courts felt that the application was dangerous for children. Meanwhile, Nepal says that video games make people aggressive. India has asked Google Play and the Apple App Store to remove the application to prevent further downloads. Nepal says that video games are the cause of aggression. These are two fairly volatile situations. Click on the link for more details.
  • Facebook has finally announced some good news this week. Facebook Messenger can return to the normal Facebook application. At Android Authority, we almost unanimously think it's a good idea. The app code contains evidence to support the rumor. It may not have all the features of the Messenger application, but even access to these messages is enough for most people.
  • Google and Amazon could finally bury the hatchet on a mini-rivalry a year. Google has agreed to send YouTube back to Fire TV and Amazon to bring Prime Video to Chromecast. There is not much else to say. We are all so happy.

Golf Tournament on the PGA Tour

Price: Freemium

PGA Tour Golf Shootout is an informal style golf game for mobile phones. It reminds me of old arcade golf games. You shoot the ball and try to make holes in one. The game features daily and weekly challenges, tons of loot, upgradeable equipment, online PvP mode and decent graphics. The mechanics are super easy and no one should have any problems playing. It's a freemium game like most casual mobile games. However, aside from a few early bugs, people seem to like it.

Zoho Show is a new application of rare presentation. It allows users to prepare and run similar presentations to something like Google Slides or Microsoft PowerPoint. The application comes with a multitude of themes, styles and slide transitions. Interestingly, it also supports PowerPoint files. You benefit from the usual range of modern features such as cloud support, team collaboration and Wear OS compatibility. It's also completely free.
