It seems more and more likely that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 will be announced shortly after the rumors. Here are five things we'd like to see added to the game before it's launched.
CdD 2019: a modern war planned 4
Players are waiting for the return of the favorite series of their fans, Modern Warfare, and the rumors circulating that Modern Warfare 4 would be the next episode of Call of Duty might well be true.
The fans of the franchise are already starting to speculate on what could be the next title. So we've put together some of the best suggestions that could be a great Call of Duty game.
5 things we want to see in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4
Campaign mode
It's been almost seven years since the last Modern Warfare game was released, and Call of Duty campaigns have been lacking since, Treyarch even decided to completely remove the mode, supplanting it with a royal battle mode, Blackout.
Fans of the Modern Warfare series will hope that the rumored campaign, MW4, will include a kind of continuation of the intense end of Modern Warfare 3.
The "No Russian" mission of Modern Warfare 2 was, to say the least, controversial.
Remastered cards
The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare series is known for its collection of some of the most iconic cards in the history of the CoD, including classics such as Rust, Terminal, Crash and Dome.
It would be logical to see some of these cards come back for Modern Warfare 4, whether they are available at launch or as part of a downloadable content pack.
Rust is one of the most iconic cards of Call of Duty.
Playoff modes
Modern Warfare 3 has nailed the Faceoff Playlist with exclusive playable cards designed for 2v2 and 3v3 game modes.
Traditionally, small Call of Duty cards often become fan favorites and, from the first point, if cards like Rust were to be remastered, they would be a perfect complement to the playlist. Infinity Ward could even potentially add 1v1 matches to Faceoff, adding another layer to the public match game.
Aground was one of the original Faceoff cards published for the 2v2 and 3v3 modes.
Classic Call of Duty Weapons
Besides the cards, the Modern Warfare series has also produced some of the best Call of Duty guns of all time, whether it's about snipers like the M40A3 or Intervention or other classics like the M16, the ACR and the UMP-45.
It would not be fair to have another addition to the Modern Warfare series without all these iconic weapons – so surely some of them will make their comeback?
The M40A3 is one of Call of Duty's most recognizable sniper rifles.
Special Operations / Timed Tests
The Special Operations mode was inspired at the origin of the MW2 campaign's "All Ghillied Up" mission, after Infinity Ward wanted to establish cooperation as part of the campaign. However, they decided not to do so and thus created a brand new game mode with fast missions that can be played duet.
It quickly became very popular, players trying to complete the missions as quickly as possible.
Modern Warfare 2 was the first title to introduce Special Ops mode.
Other honorable mentions that could be included in the list include the addition of another royal battle mode, the customization of characters in the game and the ability to bring back the nuke or "MOAB" killstreak for MW4.
However, we will have to wait to see what the Infinity Ward has in reserve for next year's Call of Duty, and whether it will live up to this hype.
