NASHVILLE, N.C. – Four of the five escaped from the Nash County Detention Center in North Carolina were detained on Tuesday morning.
Sheriff Keith Stone said the detainees were forced to cross a set in a fence on the playground at 15:30. Monday and escaped, according to WRAL-TV. The inmates were watched by a camera in the yard and Stone said that it was possible that they would know that they were in the blind spot of the camera.
Detainees are David Marshal Viverette, 28, David Ruffin Jr., 30, Keonte Daemoan Murphy, 23, Raheem D-Carlos Horne, 26, and Laquaris Rashad Battle, 23, who remained free on Tuesday morning.
Viverette and Horne went to Hal Orr's Inn at Rocky Mount, 24 km from Nashville Prison. A council drove the authorities to the motel, Stone said. The two men were arrested Monday night. It was not known immediately how Ruffin and Murphy had been apprehended.
The charges of men range from the possession of a stolen vehicle to aggression by strangulation and drug possession.
Stone said the FBI and other law enforcement agencies in the area had helped with the search. He urged residents to lock their homes and cars while the hunt continues.
