5 reasons the New York Giants are ahead of the Dallas Cowboys in the first week

As the New York Giants take on the Dallas Cowboys in the first week on Sunday, let's take a look at five reasons why Big Blue should win.

After spending the four pre-season games, reigning rookie of the year, Saquon Barkley, is free of injury and ready to play for the regular season. After a year in which he was the third rookie in league history to rack up 2,000 yards of melee winnings, Barkley is ready to have another great year behind a much improved offensive line.

Barkley still had 1,307 yards and five points behind the 27th unit in the league last season. The attacking midfielder also had 109 yards and an average touchdown of almost 7 yards per stroke (6.41) in just 17 attempts against Dallas in the 2018 season finale.

The hope is that keeping Barkley's legs cool this off-season will be profitable as he will be asked to carry a heavy workload all season. The sky is the limit for the second year Pro Bowler if he can stay healthy. Dallas will probably have some work to do to try and stop Barkley all day Sunday.
