With Mike Remmers out of practice on Saturday, second-year offensive lineman Lucas Niang got all the work done on the right tackle. It comes just a day after Niang replaced Remmers for a few short pieces. He looked ready for the tackle after Friday practice. On Saturday, he had the chance to put everything to the test.
Niang, who is practically a rookie after retiring from the 2020 NFL season, has had some ups and downs during training. His first game of the day was a failure, but he later rebounded in practice, standing on the edge against Frank Clark and Chris Jones. Even without the pads, the racing game still seems to be the strength of Niang’s playing.
Who knows when veteran Remmers will return to training, but Niang is certainly enjoying repetitions with the first-team offense.

Even without leg pads, have fun looking at OL’s right side during this full team exercise. Lucas Niang held his own on the passes against Chris Jones, Frank Clark and even Derick Nnadi, who lined up for one play.
