Five teenagers who allegedly lured their victims into false profiles were arrested in connection with a series of armed robberies and carjackings in San Jose, California, police said Thursday.
Bryan Gonzalez, 19, Yadira Villarreal, 19, Jonathan Jimenez, 18, Lesly Portillo, 18, and an unidentified 15-year-old man were arrested at various times and places after police saw images surveillance near the scene of one of the attacks, which occurred from March 16 to 29, according to police.

The suspects used the false names "Becky" and "Victoria" to match the male victims and planned late-night meetings in isolated streets near the parks, where they then beat, robbed and stole the victims under threat. gun, wearing a mask, according to a press release from the San Jose Police Department.
Each of the five teenagers faces multiple counts of robbery, car theft, auto theft and hit-run.
At least 11 men fell into the Tinder trap allegedly posed by teenagers.
Tinder's site offers tips for getting out safely through the app and encourages users to exercise due diligence before meeting in person.
"See you for the first time in a crowded public place – never in a private or remote place, and never at home or in your apartment," advises Tinder.

Dating applications were examined after site-related crime shot up from 329 in 2015 to 658 in 2018, according to BBC 5 Live in the UK.
In 2018, a 27-year-old man was arrested in North Hollywood, California, following the death of a 29-year-old nurse met in Tinder.
