3. Recipient able to reach
Doctson was impressed by his vertical jump at the NFL Scouting Combine 2016 in Indianapolis, equalizing with Sterling Shepard tops the group positions with a leap of 41 inches.
He was also very successful in the long jump, placing second among receivers with a distance of 10 feet and 11 inches.
Doctson is ranked third in the shuttle of 20 yards (4.08 seconds) and ninth in the shuttle exercise with three cones (6.84 seconds).
He scored 4.5 seconds in the 40-yard scorecard, putting him 11th in receivers.
Doctson began his university career in Wyoming in 2011, totaling 35 catches for 393 yards and one touchdown.
He was then transferred to TCU, where he missed the 2012 season due to NCAA regulations. In 2013, he recorded 36 catches for 440 yards and four touchdowns in 12 games.
In his last two seasons with the Horned Frogs, Doctson had 144 catches for 2,345 yards and 25 touchdowns.
5. From lonely star to polar star
Doctson grew up in Mansfield, Texas, and was a three-year-old literary man in football and basketball.
He joins three other Vikings from Texas-native cities, CB Kris Boyd (Gilmer), Matt 1 Austin Cutting (Keller) and DE Danielle Hunter (Katy).
CB Holton Hill (suspended), TE David Morgan (injured reservist) and DE Tashawn Bower (non-football injured) are also from Texas, as well as three members of the training team (T Aviante Collins, WR Davion Davis , K Chase McLaughlin).
Mansfield is just 30 km from Boyd's hometown, Gilmer.
