There will be no celebration of the 50th anniversary of Woodstock this summer. According to a new report from Display panel shared early Monday afternoon, the three-day festival organized by the co-founder of Woodstock Michael Lang which was to take place Watkins Glen International from August 16 to 18, was officially canceled.

Monday's somewhat (but not really) surprising information comes just a week after the postponement of the event ticket sales date, prompting rumors of a potential cancellation that materializes. A few days later, Lang shared his hopes of potential international expansion for the Woodstock brand, although they could be threatened in the future.
The 50th Anniversary event was to feature performances by major artists, including Jay Z, Miley Cyrus, Dead & Company, Luck the rapper, The killersand dozens of others.
