"I should not have to go to work without feeling safe and unprotected," an employee told The Post.

"We felt very anxious, used and unimportant, as if we were just another number."

One worker stated that the problem had lasted for "almost a month" and that "Friday was the first day they acknowledged finding something".

The employee said the problem had started about three or four weeks ago at night at the 24-hour shop, which often hosts traveling visitors, when a second-floor table was "cordoned off" Because a bedbug has been discovered. came from one of the homeless visitors.

The table was left locked while employees and customers were allowed in the store and around the table without any warning about the bed bug threat, an employee said.

This video was circulated among hundreds of staff members and once again, management brought in an exterminator who carried out "preventive spraying," employees said.

They stayed in the dark until last week when the store, which is open 365 days a year and which rarely shuts its doors, was mysteriously closed for six hours a weekday night for a "leak". water, "said one employee.
